Classic Spaghetti & Meatballs
Everyone need’s a classic spaghetti & meatballs recipe to add to their weekly dinners. This comfort food is pretty much everyone’s favourite. The meatballs are a simple but flavourful mixture of ground meat (80% meat, 20% fat) and aromatics, browned in a skillet, cooked in a tomato sauce and served on spaghetti. Just perfect!
200 gms lamb mince (80% meat, 20% fat)
1/2 onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/4 cup parsley, chopped
1/4 cup bread crumbs
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper
4 tbsp oil
2 cups pasta sauce
Basil, for garnishing
Serve with Daawat Spaghetti, cooked
In a bowl, add lamb, onion, garlic, parsley, bread crumbs, egg, salt and pepper. Mix well.
Take 1 tbsp of the mixture in your palms and roll into a ball. Repeat with all the mixture.
Heat oil in a pan. Place the meatballs in the pan and make sure to space them out. Cook for 5-8 minutes or until browned. Make sure to keep turning the meatballs as they cook.
Add the pasta sauce and cook for another 5 minutes. Garnish with basil.
Serve on a bed of Spaghetti cooked to al dente.
