Creamy-Chicken-and-Mushrooms

Ingredients

8 chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
1 tbsp garlic, minced
1 tsp mixed herbs
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper
3 tbsp oil
1/2 cup bacon, chopped
1 1/2 cups mushrooms, sliced
1 cup chicken stock
1/2 cup heavy cream
Chopped basil leaves
Steamed Daawat Basmati Rice, to serve

Instructions

In a bowl, mix together chicken thighs, garlic, mixed herbs, salt and pepper.

Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pot, and add the chicken thighs. Cook for 12-15 minutes on both sides or until the meat turns from pink to white. Take it out of the pot and set aside.

Add the chopped bacon to the same pot and stir. Cook for 2-4 minutes or until crispy. Add the mushrooms and cook for another 2 minutes.

Add the chicken stock and heavy cream and stir. Add the chicken into the sauce and cook for 15 minutes.

Top with chopped basil leaves and serve with some steamed rice.
