Banana Berry Rice Pudding (Baby Food)
Sometimes we just run out of ideas when it comes to cooking baby food. And it surely doesn’t have to be boring. This Banana Berry Rice Pudding is one of those recipes that my little one loves so much. And she has also featured in this recipe, which makes this recipe very close to my heart.
1/3 cup Daawat Brown Rice, washed
1 cup water
1/4 cup milk, or breast milk
1 cup sweet banana, chopped
1/4 cup mixed berries, I used raspberries and strawberries
1/4 cup water
Sprinkle of cinnamon powder
To make the rice: Blend the brown rice with 2 tbsp of water until finely ground.
Boil it with 1 cup of water for 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and thick.
Add milk and cook for another 5 minutes. If you are using breast milk, once the rice is cooked, stir in the breast milk but don't cook it. Set aside.
Blend the bananas, berries and water until smooth.
Serve the rice with banana berry sauce and a sprinkle of cinnamon powder. You can adjust the consistency of the food depending on the baby's age.
