Rice and Sukuma Wiki Bhajia

Bhajia’s are a very common snack when expecting guests. This recipe is a slight twist to the normal bhajia’s. These rice and sukuma wiki bhajia’s make great use of left over rice and go perfectly well with just ketchup for a dipping sauce.

Rice and sukuma wiki bhajia make the best party snack and the perfect way to use left over rice.

Ingredients

1 cup Daawat Aromatic Rice, cooked or left over
2 potatoes, grated
1 onion, chopped
1 tbsp garlic, minced
1 cup sukuma wiki, thinly chopped
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
3 tbsp gram flour
Oil, for deep frying
Ketchup, for serving

Instructions

In a bowl, all the ingredients.

Take 1 1/2 tbsp of the mixture in your palm and press firmly to form a ball.

Heat oil in a pot and deep fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Make sure to keep stirring.

Remove the bhajia on to a paper towel to drain excess oil and serve with some ketchup.
