Restaurant Style Butter Naan (No yeast required)
Make your own restaurant style butter naan at home and you won’t be ordering them from the restaurants any more. This recipe is fail proof and requires no yeast.
3 1/2 cups Unga wa Dola all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp oil
1 cup plain yoghurt
1/2 cup milk
In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder and salt. Add the oil and mix that in. Add the yoghurt and milk a little at a time until it all comes together.
Take the dough out on a clean working surface and knead for 5-8 minutes. Return to the bowl and cover with a wet kitchen towel. Let rest for 30 minutes.
To make the naan, take a portion of the dough in your palm and roll. Place it on a flat surface and use a rolling pin to roll it out to a thickness of 1/2 cm.
Place it on a hot skillet and flip it once the bubbles form. Cook for 1 minute on each side and take it off the heat.
Spread butter on the naan and sprinkle coriander leaves before serving.
