Kheer, also known as pudding is often referred to a pudding made with rice. My version is an oats kheer that is very simple and cooks within minutes.
1 tbsp ghee
1/4 cup mixed nuts, chopped
1/2 cup NuVita Porridge Oats
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cardamom powder
2 cups milk
Heat ghee in a pot and add the mixed nuts. Toss them around for 1 minute or until golden brown. Take them out on a paper towel.
In the same pot, add the oats and toss them for 1-2 minutes until lightly toasted. Add the sugar and cardamom powder and stir.
Add the milk and keep stirring for 2-3 minutes or until it gets thick. Add half of the mixed nuts and stir.
Scoop the oats kheer in a bowl and top with the remaining mixed nuts.
