These little balls of energy will help get you through your day! Energy blasts are the perfect snack after a workout or for the early morning since they are packed full of tasty and nutritious ingredients.

Ingredients

6 NuVita Sugar free Digestive Biscuits
1 cup almonds
1 1/4 cups oats
1/4 cup ground flax seeds
3 tbsp hemp seeds
2 tbsp dessicated coconut
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1/2 cup nut butter (I used macadamia nut butter)
1/4 cup honey
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

Use a food processor to crush the almonds. Add the digestive biscuits and blend into a coarse powder.

Add the oats, ground flax seeds, hemp seeds, cinnamon powder and desiccated coconut and blitz until combined.

Add the nut butter, honey, vanilla essence and coconut oil and blitz again until the mixture comes together.

Take the mixture out into a mixing bowl and fold the chocolate chips in. Use an ice cream scoop or spoon to portion out the balls. Take one scoop of the mixture in your palm and press firmly to form a ball.

Repeat with the remaining mixture. Lay the balls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and let chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving.
