Chilli Paneer Spaghetti

Chilli paneer on its own is so delicious, so why not pair it up with Spaghetti to make a yummy Chilli Paneer Spaghetti. Paneer is a type of firm cheese (cottage cheese) that takes on the flavour of the gravy/sauce very well and that’s why it works really well for this dish. If you like, substitute with chicken or a meat of your choice.

Chilli-Paneer-Spaghetti

Ingredients

200 gms Paneer, cut into cubes
2 tbsp corn starch
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper
1 tbsp water
Oil, for deep frying
1 tbsp oil
1 onion, chopped into 1 inch pieces
1 tbsp garlic, chopped
1-2 green chillies, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped into 1 inch pieces
1 tbsp chilli sauce
1 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp sugar
2 tbsp water
150 gms Daawat Spaghetti, cooked
Spring onions, for garnishing

Instructions

In a bowl, mix together paneer cubes, corn starch, salt, pepper and water. Once coated, deep fry in hot oil for 2-3 minutes or until lightly browned on the edges.

In a pan, heat oil. Add onions, garlic, green chillies and red bell pepper. Toss for 30 seconds.

Add chilli sauce, tomato sauce, soy sauce, water and sugar. Let come to a boil.

Add the fried paneer and stir. The mixture will start to thicken.

Use a tong to toss the spaghetti with the chilli paneer. Garnish with chopped spring onions.
